Call for Submissions to Special Session
Special Session 1: Underwater Acoustics, Ocean Exploration, and Signal Processing
Underwater acoustics and Ocean exploration are key underpinning technologies for underwater activities. They are increasingly used in oceanographic and environmental studies, and play a crucial role in defense. The main goal of this session is to present the latest research and inspire innovations on signal processing for underwater acoustics and ocean exploration.

CHAIRMANS:
Dr. Yanqun Wu, College of Meteorology and Oceanography, National University of Defense Technology, Changsha, China
Biodata: Yanqun Wu is an Associate Professor of College of Meteorology and Oceanography, National University of Defense Technology, Changsha, China. She received the B.S. degree and the Ph.D. degree in Optical Engineering from National University of Defense Technology (NUDT) in 2004 and 2011, respectively. Since 2011, she has worked as a lecturer and then associate professor in NUDT. During 2015, she stayed at SiPLAB, University of Algarve, Portugal as a visiting scholar. She has published more than forty papers and has been a reviewer for IEEE Signal Processing Letters, Electronic Letters, ICSP, ICICSP etc. She has been involved in many national projects and her interests are on the detection and estimation problems for both scalar and vector sensor array signal processing and underwater acoustics.
